Chiropractor for Sciatica in NJ
The QSM3 Approach
At Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Monmouth, LLC, our doctors use gentle methods to balance the spine. Our chiropractors focus on adjusting the neck to encourage healing around the brainstem and central nervous system (CNS). We use the Quantum Spinal Mechanics3 (QSM3) chiropractic procedures to provide care without cracking, popping or twisting the spine. Additionally, our doctors utilize the Cox Flexion-Distraction method to gently and effectively decompress the sciatic nerve.
One of our doctors will work with you one-on-one to see how misaligned discs, spinal misalignment and gravity may be playing a role in the onset of sciatica. We'll use state-of-the-art technology to observe spinal problems and monitor your progress across multiple visits.
Upper Cervical Care for Sciatica Management
Our experienced upper cervical chiropractors offer solutions for sciatica and care about your well-being. Every patient begins with a chiropractic consultation in which we examine the spine, complete neurological testing and take X-rays. Once we assess the findings, you can return as soon as the next day to begin your sciatica treatment. The doctors will review any prior MRI or imaging studies that you already have — simply bring them with you on your first visit.
We provide our QSM3 methods according to your specific diagnostic data. Your care plan for sciatica will be unique based on what we find during your initial consultation and evaluation process.

Have Traditional Methods Not Worked for You?
Those with sciatica sometimes try at-home care methods to alleviate pain. Usually, people rest from work and physical activity to reduce their lower back pain. Yoga, hot and cold packs or physical therapy can also be helpful for some, depending on the degree of pain.
While these methods may help to relieve pain temporarily, an upper cervical care chiropractor for sciatica can address symptoms at their root. Compression of the sciatic nerve can become less severe with routine adjustments. Our New Jersey chiropractors for sciatica will learn more about your condition to develop a care plan that's right for you.
Our goal at Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Monmouth, LLC is to help our patients live comfortably. That's why we offer upper cervical care and Cox Flexion-Distraction for conditions like sciatica. Making an appointment with one of our doctors is a proactive way to manage your condition so you can get back to enjoying the activities you love.
What Is Sciatica?
Sciatica is a condition that involves the longest nerve in the body — the sciatic nerve. Patients with sciatica normally experience pain near the lower back, hips, buttocks and legs due to inflammation. It might occur suddenly after an injury that results in a herniated disc. In some cases, the sciatic nerve can be aggravated by arthritic changes, stenosis or changes in the position of the vertebrae and pelvis.
Herniated discs place pressure on the sciatic nerve, resulting in sharp pain. Trauma can lead to tears in the connective tissues that hold the spine in place, which can cause the spine to fall out of alignment. The misaligned spinal position leads to irregular movement patterns, compensations and compressions that slowly lead to progressive wear on the soft discs. Herniated discs can also stem from a sudden twisting or jolting movement.
Our doctors can analyze and often correct the original trauma that led to the disc herniation and sciatic pain in the first place.
Patients with sciatica may report weakness or a loss of feeling in one leg. The condition can lead to permanent nerve damage if ignored long-term, so it's essential to seek care. With the help of our upper cervical chiropractors for sciatica, most patients can improve their condition without injections or surgery.
